God Hears You.

I found this poem from about a year ago laying around in my notes. So, I thought I would share. It's crazy how much people can grow and change in a year. God is a good and faithful God.

There's one thing in this world most tend to need. It's not for our pride or even our greed.

We want that someone who calls us their own. A person who stays so we don't feel alone.

We have friendships and family, there are people who care. Still, sometimes we feel as if no one is there.

We long for a person who shares our views. Someone to sit beside in the church pews.

A person who chooses you right from the start. Someone who loves God and you with all of their heart.

You're not ever sure who exactly they'll be, but you find yourself wondering constantly.

You look for that person near and far. Searching for someone who's up to par.

You pray to the Lord every night before bed. You pray for this person you see in your head.

Lord please send me someone who can hold me tight. Some who loves me for always and has a good height.

Send me a person who's good looking and smart. A person who's kind and has a good heart.

As you wait for your prayers to all come true. Looking at everyone else to get clues,

You begin to feel as though you weren't heard. How long this is taking is getting absurd.

This is taking too long you feel it's a disaster.
You start to demand that God should work faster.

But God's timing is not meant to fit in your schedule. His timing, no matter how slow, is essential.

For you do not know all of the moving parts. You don't know how long it takes to change hearts.

The person you're waiting for might not be saved. The person you're waiting for could have just caved.

That person has things going on in their lives. They may not be ready for husbands or wives.

They could still be struggling with a thing from their past. They could be the one you meet last.

That person you're longing to meet so badly, could be waiting in the very next valley.

So, be patient in all of these waiting moments. Always remember, God is not your opponent.

God's working in all of it, even when you can't see. He's still got work to do in you and in me.

He's not ignoring you and all of your prayers. He's doing what's best because He truly cares.

So while you wait for that one special someone, you have a job too. Don't think that you have none.

Your job is to grow and strengthen your faith walk. Sticking close to the Lord our mighty rock.

God still wants to use you while you're single. So just trust in his timing and get off Christian mingle.

The someone you're searching for will come someday. They'll look at you and decide to stay.

They'll love you unconditionally without any debate. That's when you know it was all worth the wait.

Sometimes I just get into rhyming moods. This was a lesson that took a while to learn. So I wanted to share it just in case anyone else was going through this type of thing as well. I hope you liked it. Until next time. 😊
